He has served in leadership roles with several Swiss internationally orientated companies as
Research & Development Chemist, Scientific Director and Advisor, Managing Director and
Member of several Executive Boards of Directors as well as Founder & Chairperson.
In the course of his career he undertook and directed programs for conceptualization,
development and formulations of skin and body care products for top leading international
brands known around the world amongst the most prestigious Swiss signatures. He directed R&D
programs for numerous multinational groups actively present in various kind of markets
segments such as medical clinics, spas, pharmacies, luxury perfumeries, fashion house,
beauty salons, departments stores, retail shops, mail order as well as direct sales and
multi-level marketing systems in a worldwide environment in Europe, Americas, Australia and
Asia.
He is founder and Chairman of PAP Cosmetic Sciences SA/Co.,Ltd Switzerland (1992) and of PAP
Health Management SA/Co.,Ltd Switzerland (2010) entities known as service, advising and
counselling companies dedicated to develop solutions in the fields of human being health,
wellbeing, wellness, nutrition, skin and body care including customized revitalisation
programs and related products
He has been a member of the Swiss Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SwissSCC) since 1972 and
served as President from 1990 until 2000; he was for many years IFSCC co-ordinator. He
joined the Praesidium of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists
(IFSCC) as Treasurer from 1996 until 2001, then as Appointee and as Honorary Auditor. In
1995 he was Chairman of the IFSCC Between-Congress Conference which took place in Montreux
Switzerland.
He has been awarded Honorary Member of the SwissSCC. (2006)
He has published numerous papers and has authored as inventor for several Swiss and American
patents (active substances complexes, cosmetics formulas, concepts of application, etc.). He
has been recognized as speaker in several national and international congresses and
conventions.
